LBADeCOMP
LBADeCOMP is a collection of tools, with which you can extract/view/modify the data stored in the LBA files (*.hqr; *.vox; *.ile; *.obl). These tools are created with the LBA games in mind, but they can also be used on the (same type of) files that come with Time Commando.
All tools of the LBADeCOMP collection are freeware and build by the LBADeCOMP team. For more information about the LBADeCOMP team and about how to join, go to the LBADeCOMP developer page.

The current collection consists (besides information) out of four tools:
LBADeCOMP: this is the main tool. With this program you can extract the data stored in the LBA files. If will automatically decompress the data if needed.
LBA Viewer: this is the image viewer. With this program you can view the LBA type images and also export them to common formats. It's also possible to save common images to LBA type images.
LBA Reader: this is the word processor. This progam will allow you to view amd modify the text of the games.
LBA Packer: this program can create a LBA file. Currently it does not support compression, but that's being worked on.

In the future the collection will be expanded with the following tools:
LBA X-Ray: this is the 3D modular, it will allow you to create or modify the 3D objects.
LBA LowLandz: this is the scene/island builder. With this tool you can create/modify both 3D isometric scenes and 3D worlds.
But before these programs become reality a lot of research has to be done. That's why LBADeCOMP needs you !

This time there hasn't been changed so much, only a few little additions and bug-fixes. See the version.txt file for a complete list of changes.

I'm still working on a better LBA Packer, I'm working on the compression code, so you can compress the data and save disk space.
Ido Beeri has joined the LBADeCOMP team, he's also going to do some "brain-killing" work, just like the Incredible WUK.

This will update LBADeCOMP 1.2.2.10 to 1.2.2.11. Only download this if you have the previous version installed on your computer.

The main change in this version is a better help support. You can now get help when you hold the cursor over a control and press F1. Also the LBA Reader can now change the text in the text files.
Due some optmization of the common code, the old LBADeCOMP package does not work with this release, you should download the latest release in order to get it to work.

This version will only work with LBADeCOMP 1.2.2.10 and up. I hope this is almost the last time that you have to download this.

Miles Sound Player
With this program you can play the .xmi files that you can extract from the midi_??.hqr files that come with LBA1. From more information about XMIDI files, Miles Sound System (MSS) or the complete Miles Sound Studio do to the Rad Game Tools homepage.
Smacker player
This program allows you to view the .smk files that you can extract from the videos.hqr file that come with LBA2. For more infromation about the Smacker techonolgy and the complete Smacker studio go to Rad Game Tools homepage.
IrfanView 32
This is a must have image viewer/converter. If can view : .bmp; .jpg; .gif; .tga; .pcx; etc. It also have some other functions as resample (better than PaintShop Pro), color reduction (very smart) and more... It's completely free for non commercial use.
General Midi DLS
This is a .dls you can use it togheter with the Miles sound player for a better sound quality. Only download this file in you don't have DirectX 6 installed, because this file comes with DirectX 6 (\windows\system\).
